How to sign up and off

Signing up for the Studentennetz consists of the following steps:
- Connect your PC or router to the StuNet network port in your room using a network cable
- Activate your university ID on the IDM portal and change your password, you got the document with your username and an initial password from the university
Go to our login page and sign in using your university ID and the new password
If you do not have a university ID (yet) the dormitory administration can provide a guest login
A login is not required and also not possible at the moment.
If a problem occur, please make sure your device is set to "Automatic IP-configuration (DHCP)" (Howto guide for configuring DHCP)
There are no additional fees for StuNet, usage is included in the rental fees for dormitories of Studentenwerk Freiberg.
Change Device
If you like to use another device or a router please follow these steps:
- Open the website https://login.stunet.tu-freiberg.de/status on your new or old device.
- Login and unregister your old device.
- Connect your new device to the port in your room and open https://login.stunet.tu-freiberg.de/ to login.
Note: If you like to register a router connect your router to the port in your room. Then connect your device(s) with your router. Open the login page on one of these devices to login.
That's it. You are registered with your new device or router now.
Canceling
Your subscription to the Studentennetz will be canceled automatically once you move out of the dormitories and terminate your rental agreement.
